🔧 Set-up: Area: 20x15 meters with a goal at one end Players: 1 goalkeeper, 3–4 strikers rotating, 1 defender Equipment: Several footballs, cones marking passing positions ⚽ Activity: The striker begins just outside the penalty area with a defender blocking their direct shot A coach or teammate plays a pass into the striker’s feet The striker uses a quick touch with the outside of the foot to shift the ball away from the defender After shifting the ball, the striker immediately shoots, aiming for the far post or surprising the goalkeeper at the near post Add a body feint or fake shot before shifting the ball to increase realism Rotate players to practice shifting and shooting from both left and right sides ✅ Coaching Points: Emphasise quick, sharp touches to create shooting space Focus on body feints to unbalance the defender Reinforce accuracy and composure when shooting under pressure Encourage players to scan the goalkeeper’s position before striking Highlight the importance of minimal backlift to get shots off quickly
