🔧 How to set up the activity: Mark a penalty area with a goal and a goalkeeper One defender who starts inside the box One wide player who starts out wide One attacker who starts with a ball just outside the box ⚽️ Activity: Attacker starts with the ball and passes to the wide player The wide player takes a touch down the line before crossing The attacker runs into the box from behind the defender on their blindside The attacker can then attack the cross at the back post behind the defender or run in front of the defender to meet the cross Progression: Create 2v1 or 2v2 situations inside the box and add wide players on both sides Rotate through all roles ✅ Coaching points: Stay out of defender’s eye line until the last second when making final run Burst into space at the right moment Use quick and calm finishing
