“Fast Feet Maze” – Ball Mastery & Agility

🔧 How to set up the activity:

  • 20x20 yard square with flat cones placed randomly inside close together
  • 1 ball per player
  • Cones act as “agility markers” to dribble around

🏃 Activity:

  • Players dribble freely, performing toe taps or rolls while moving
  • Coach calls out commands (e.g. “toe taps!” or “sole rolls!”) – all players switch immediately
  • Players must weave through cones while keeping control
  • Add challenge: touch a cone with your hand, then change direction
  • End with 30 seconds of free freestyle to be creative

Coaching points:

  • Encourage low body position and soft knees for control and agility
  • Promote continuous movement – no standing still
  • Use this drill to mix ball skills and physical literacy
