🔧 How to set up the activity: Set up a third of a pitch with a corner taker at each side Have 5 defenders and a goalkeeper in the box, with 4 attackers in the box Create a coned line 5m outside the penalty area Have 1 attacker positioned outside of the penalty area ⚽️ Activity: Corner takers take turns delivering corners from each side Defending team attempt to prevent a goal from the first contact and clear the ball over the coned line Attacking team attempts to win first or second contact to shoot at goal The attacker outside the box looks to pick up any balls coming out of the area and prevent them crossing the coned line. They can then carry on attacking Encourage a mixture of runs and blocking to create unpredictability Competition: Attackers score 1 point for shot on goal and 3 for scoring. Defenders score a point each time they clear the ball over the line ✅ Coaching points: Encourage defenders to have a mix of player to player and zonal marking approaches Attackers should use late movements and blocking to try and get away from markers Encourage both teams to stay switched on and react to second balls and second phases of play
