Attacking corners: how to set your team up to score (Course)

Corners are one of the few moments in a match where you control how the play starts, yet most grassroots teams leave them to chance. The ball goes into the box, everyone crowds the penalty spot and the outcome comes down to luck. This course shows you how to plan your corners with a clear purpose, so every delivery has a target, every player knows their role and your routines are built around the players you actually have. What you'll learn Choosing the delivery: when to use an inswinger, an outswinger, a driven ball or a short corner, and how to match the choice to your taker's range and technique. Picking the target zone: breaking the box into areas such as the near post, six-yard line, penalty spot and back post, and deciding where the ball should land to cause the opposition the most problems. Winning the first contact: deciding who attacks the ball, how to time and disguise runs, and what a flick-on or knockdown should be aiming for. Giving every player a job: attackers, blockers, the player on the goalkeeper, second-ball collectors on the edge of the box and the players who stay back to protect against the counter. Building routines around your squad: working with the height, pace and delivery quality in your group rather than copying set pieces designed for different players.
